Conservatek provided a value engineered, fast track project for the State of CA for the West Gate Entranceway of the CA State Fairgrounds in Sacramento. This project was initially designed around a standard 5′ module Unistrut standard unit for spaceframe and Conservatek was able to save the State of CA almost $50,000 by converting this project to a 7′ X 7′ Geo*Hub II spaceframe.
We provided blown acrylic skylights and a perimeter clad with a high profile metal decking by Dittmer Architectural. This structure was found by the state architect to be much better in its detailing than was previously designed and eliminated the problem of any rusting steel spaceframe system.
This project was completed as a fast track project in less than 90 days. The structure had 2,000 struts and 500 hubs and was assembled in one piece on the ground and lifted into place.
