223’ (68 m) diameter CST Covers Aluminum Dome and matching lower facade National and international gymnastics competitions
The 4,000 seat gymnastics center/arena was built for the eighth National Games of the People’s Republic of China. The mill finish CST Covers Aluminum Dome roof is engineered to support 45,000 kg or 100,000 pounds of sound cloud and catwalk loads. The interior of the dome ceiling is
finished with white faced bonded insulation for thermal and acoustical control. The matching lower facade incorporates two rows of triangular glass curtainwall. Designed to be one of the most advanced stadiums in the world, the center hosts national and international sporting events.
